Major chill isn't stopping our Blossoms!

Even without sun, buds seem to get bigger before your eyes!

Today, Tuesday April 9th, is about as grey and chilly as a Spring day can get. Walking around Wooster Square Park checking on the progress of our blossoms, gloves were needed.

That's a hard contrast to the 60's we had the other day.
But that is what Spring is like in New England.

The up and down sure makes Blossom predicting precarious!

Wooster Square's Cherry Trees are just aching to burst. But we've still a ways to go.

Take a look at some photos from today while I figure out about when we should be peaking!

The 46th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival is Sunday, April 28th!!

Noon to 4:30

Food, Fun, Music, Dance!

Not going to take much!

But then again, Mother Nature isn't being the biggest helper this year.

How Long till they Blossom and Peak?

Well, that's two questions.

First, they are in the process of blossoming.
They are in the Peduncle Elongation Stage.

Some of the more advanced trees
will start Blooming in 6-8 days.
Peak still too hard to pin down.

But next week they should be on their
way and in good form for
photographers of all ages and devices.

Easter Weekend should be gorgeous,
maybe peak bloom.

You know the drill!

You've got to follow to know when
our Cherry Blossoms are Blossoming!
