Holy Hanami Horror! Blossoms to Bloom without a Festival!

The Covid-19 Virus cancels the Wooster Square Cherry Blossom Festival.

Say it ain't so!

It is with great sadness I relay
to you that due to the coronavirus,
the Wooster Square Cherry Blossom
Festival will be cancelled.

Tears form on buds in response

The Governor put out an Executive Order
that until April 30th, no gatherings
greater than 250 person can be held.

Even with the rain last year, we
still had about 3000 people.
Two years ago we had over 10,000.

So the Historic Wooster Square Association
had no choice but to cancel this years Festival.

But what does that really
mean Mr. Blossom Blogger?

Well it means in times of crises
and emergency, we look out for each other.

This is Wooster Square.
A real neighborhood where everyone knows each other.

So in order for the general public to be safe,
there can't be a large gathering with
celebration, dancing, fun and food.

But what I can tell you is this.

First! Look at some photos from
Soggy Friday to Saturday Morning!
