Cherry Blossoms are moving into Puffy White/Pink, last stage before peak!
Usually about this time of year, someone inevitably asks the question, why don't you have the Celebration while they are peaking?
Good question. There are no dumb ones. The reason is Palm Sunday, Easter and Passover. And since those days float around all over the place, the day to have the festival is usually decided by these Holidays.
Our hope is that if they peak, they'll still be around for the Celebration. Otherwise, you see them here and know exactly when do go!
I was out this dreary morning to get us a Cherry Blossom update!!
Take a look, taken today 4-7-2022
Based upon the photos, we have some that are in the puffy stage, most just entering it. However, I can say with pretty good confidence that peak is about 4 - 9 days away. It really depends on the warm weather we are about to get.
I also expect them to start popping noticeably late in the weekend. How will you know? Stay tuned, I'll be out everyday until they peak, weather permitting!
