There comes a time when Wooster Square shines!

Wooster Square Cherry Blossoms reach final stage before peak! Forecast is Flowerful!

While taking stock of the Blossoms on Hughes Place, a gentleman pulled up and flagged me down. Usually I'm listening to music, walking Roxie and taking photos but he managed to get my attention.

He asked me when I thought the blossoms will be blooming. He said he was surprised not to see them out yet given our warm weather.

I explained to him that our fair square had a 3 week cold snap that put the brakes on our precious pink pretties!

I then mentioned he can find the Wooster Square Blossom blog online and he was much appreciative. The man said he was to officiate at a friends wedding. They want to perform the ceremony in the park while the blossoms are out!

Another satisfied customer! Just in the past few weeks, over 30K have visited the facebook page, this blog and twitter! And we've only just begun!

My advice? Plan a trip. Take an unplanned trip. Come once, come everyday. Call Cheryl and buy a house! This coming week Wooster Square's going to rock the blossoms!

Yesterday we reached the last stage before peak. The next 10 days will be mid 60s to low 70s.

What does this mean?

None of the trees has popped, meaning that some of the flowers are opening.

Peak is when 70% of the trees are in full bloom. The way I determine what that is by taking a photo from a few angles each day until they are gone. From the photos I can tell when they start to turn to green leaves.

It's chilly today again, tomorrow also. But the sun is shining and those blossoms are bursting!

I was out yesterday and this morning. Here's some photos from Thursday first.

Never know what you'll see in the park!

Today, I met a Wooster Squarian doing her laps around the park and told me that the blossoms weren't out earlier, but some started opening later.

All the blossoms are big and puffy! Ones that are exposed to more sunlight or protected pop open faster.

Don't fret. Sure, you can find a tree with a few blossoms but the show is just getting started! The blossoms will be peaking sometime next week.

Hang on to your Hanami Hats and look at some photos from Friday morning!
