The 2024 Wooster Square Cherry Blossom Season has Officially Begun!

Yes Virginia, There will be Cherry Blossoms! 

We have Stage 1: Green Tips!

And so it begins again. What you say?

Wooster Square Cherry Blossoms, New Haven's harbinger of spring, have the fuse lit for future flower fun for our fine flower following folks!

I have been under the weather for a few days but I have been monitoring the situation intently, looking for signs of activity. Yesterday's 60 degree temps were enough to coax our blossoms out of sweet Sakura Square slumber.

Today I took my camera and my trusty companion, Roxie over to the park for some direct observation. Real blossom blog business. So why don't we mosey on and look at the photos on this dreary Monday and then I'll tell you what it all means to our predictions.

2024 Peak Bloom Predictions for Washington DC

NPS: March 23 to 26

Washington Post: March 19-23

Usually, Wooster Square is 16.5 days behind DC's peak, usually.
